Amanda Leigh Lawson, 31, of Quinton, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in Okmulgee. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Greater Refuge Church with the Rev. Justin Monks and the Rev. George Mantooth officiating. Burial will be at Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Hunn & Black Funeral Home of Quinton. Born Jan. 28, 1976, in Stigler, she was the daughter of Gary Len and Carol Lynn (Beck) Monks. She graduated from Quinton High School in 1994. She worked as a relief driver for Double M Trucking. She was taking management classes at the Kiamichi Technology Center. She had also worked at O'Reilly's Auto Parts in Hugo and Stigler. She attended the Greater Refuge Church. Survivors include her father, Gary Monks, of Quinton; her mother, Carol Ward, of Oklahoma City; her son, Dusty Wade Lawson, of Quinton. Also, her paternal grandmother, Lora Monks and the late Francis, of Quinton; her maternal grandmother, Winnie Beck and the late T.J., of McAlester; her brother, Gary Justin Monks and his wife, Elizabeth, and her nephew, Gary Jathan, of Quinton. And, her brother, Matthew Len Monks and wife, Alesha, of Quinton, and her brother, Nelson Miles Ward, of Oklahoma City. Pallbearers will be Carl Oxford, Joe Mantooth, Bob Bushman, Miles Ward Terry Oliver and Caleb Oxford. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Storie and Terry Strain.
